Staff Accountant

As an experienced accountant with at least 3 years of work experience in an accounting firm, you understand the intricacies of accounting and possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Your proficiency in both QuickBooks desktop and online is commendable, making you an ideal candidate for this role. You are a self-starter who proactively ensures all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. Understanding the importance of confidentiality due to handling sensitive information, you are willing to work during the Night Shift. Key Responsibilities: - Perform data entry from bank statements into QuickBooks. - Code clients" transactions to the correct general ledger accounts. - Reconcile clients" bank accounts on a monthly basis. - Conduct a monthly audit of the general ledger to verify accurate coding. - Reconcile general ledger reports and ensure accuracy. - Assist in preparing financial statements including income statements and balance sheets. - Generate reports using Microsoft Excel. - Keep the CPA updated on any outstanding issues with clients" accounts. - Support other duties to facilitate the smooth operation of the CPA firm. Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting firm. - Proficiency in QuickBooks desktop and online. - Ability to work independently and proactively. - Understanding of the importance of confidentiality. - Willingness to work during the Night Shift.
