Sr.Engineer Cost Out

As a member of the Direct Material Productivity (DMP) team, your primary responsibility will be to lead and execute various cost-out projects related to Copper and Aluminum Raw Materials. This will involve collaborating closely with the Global Procurement Organization and Product divisions to identify cost-saving opportunities. Your role will also entail working on different aspects of Direct Material Productivity to identify, develop, and maintain services that offer significant cost-saving opportunities and build a pipeline of executable projects. You should be proficient in analyzing commodity spend data and utilizing data analytics and ideation principles to create new project opportunities. Furthermore, you should have a deep understanding of the requirements related to electrical components design and application, including duty cycle attributes. Your ability to develop design guidelines and test protocols for these components will be essential in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Execute enterprise-wide strategic projects for Copper and Aluminum Raw Material and related components such as Stampings and Fabrication categories, in collaboration with Global Procurement Leaders. - Implement strategic and operational plans for Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE), Resourcing, Negotiation, and Part Rationalization to achieve measurable cost-saving goals. - Propose technically and commercially viable ideas to reduce overall product costs and enhance competitiveness in the market. - Drive productivity through supplier consolidations, data improvements, and minimizing part proliferation. - Identify and develop knowledge nuggets for data analysis that can be applied to other projects. - Engage in supplier discussions to generate innovative ideas and solutions for cost-saving. - Utilize Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodology to identify technical risks early in product development and ensure the development of robust products that meet customer requirements. - Contribute to the creation of new patents and disclosures while working on New Product development, VAVE, and problem-solving projects. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with demonstrated experience in a technical engineering organization, preferably in the Electrical industry. - Minimum of 7 years of experience in a multinational engineering organization. Skills: - Proficiency in Value Engineering principles and their deployment, with knowledge of electrical products such as LV/MV switchgear, Breakers, and Busway System. - Ability to work and interact effectively with global cross-functional and cross-cultural teams. - Excellent interpersonal skills and clear communication abilities with internal/external customers and suppliers.,
