Job Description – Sr. Captain (Restaurant)

Position: Senior Captain

Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹22,000 per month

Role Overview:

The Sr. Captain supervises the restaurant floor, ensures excellent guest service, and supports the Restaurant Manager in day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Captains, Stewards, and service staff on shift.
• Ensure smooth restaurant operations and guest satisfaction.
• Handle guest complaints and resolve issues professionally.
• Train new staff on service standards and etiquette.
• Maintain hygiene, table setups, and service flow.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar for timely service.
• Prepare shift schedules and allocate duties.
• Monitor billing, cash handling, and closing reports.

Requirements:

• 2–4 years of experience in the hospitality/restaurant industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of F&B service and fine dining standards.
• Ability to multitask and manage a team.

• Take and process guest orders accurately.
• Supervise stewards and ensure quality service in section.
• Check table setups, cleanliness, and presentation.
• Coordinate with kitchen/bar for smooth order delivery.
• Upsell menu items and promote specials.
• Handle guest queries and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist Sr. Captain/Manager in operations.

Requirements:

• 1–3 years of experience in restaurant or hotel service.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Pleasant personality with guest-handling skills.
• Knowledge of restaurant service standards.
