Sr. VFX Artist

As a Senior VFX Artist at Lakshya Digital, you will be responsible for creating exceptional real-time effects for a diverse range of game titles and genres. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the production team to deliver projects on time and according to client briefs. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications required for this role: **Key Responsibilities:** - Create and/or supervise the creation of high-quality, performant in-engine VFX for various game titles. - Develop real-time effects such as explosions, fire, smoke, magic, weather, environmental elements, and destruction sequences. - Collaborate with other artists, technical teams, and clients on multiple projects. - Mentor and guide junior VFX artists, providing feedback and support to elevate team quality. - Ensure compliance with client requirements and internal best practices for all deliverables. - Define asset lists, schedules, and budgets in coordination with Project Managers and Leads. - Partner with the Lead VFX Artist to establish technical specifications, pipelines, and workflows. - Optimize VFX assets for memory, performance, and scalability across different platforms. **Qualifications Required:** - Solid understanding of real-time physics, fluid, and particle systems using tools like Houdini, EmberGen, and FumeFX. - Proven experience with industry-standard tools for real-time VFX creation, including Unreal Engine (Niagara, Cascade), Unity (Shuriken, VFX Graph), Houdini, Maya, Blender, Photoshop, After Effects, Substance Designer/Painter, Krita, EmberGen, SpeedTree, and proprietary or middleware tools. - Strong knowledge of shader creation and optimization (HLSL, Shader Graph, Unreal Material Editor). - Minimum of 3+ years of experience creating real-time VFX for video games, with at least one shipped AAA title. - Ability to balance artistry with performance constraints and technical requirements. - Results-oriented and self-driven with excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written). - Previous experience in outsourcing/services workflows and/or managing overseas artists is a plus.
