Role Description

Test Engineer is required to demonstrate a variety of both soft and hard skills. Some of the key abilities required for this role include:

• Analysing users stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
• Collaborate closely with other team members and departments
• Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
• Design and develop automation scripts when needed
• Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies
• Provide timely solutions
• Apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle
• Provide support and documentation
• Defining the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery
• Identifying and Escalating any test issues early on to the test manager
• Following automation testing standards set in the team
• Help to build fully automated testing pipeline

Required Qualifications

• Strong background in, and at least 2+ years of working in QA craftmanship
• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Application, Information Technology
• Should be able to work independently and take ownership of release or feature testing
• Thorough understanding of SDLC, specifically automated QA processes in agile development environments
• Experience in API testing (using Postman or other tools) or API automation and exposer to latest testing tools like JMeter, Test case management tool etc.
• UI and functional testing (desktop and Mweb)
• Experience with Databases, such as SQL and NoSQL
• Good understandings/hands on experience with continuous integration tools like ADO/JIRA etc. Strong working knowledge of testing fundamentals such as TDD & BDD
• Proficient working with SQL server Knowledge of Web technologies like HTTP, JS, CSS, SOAP, REST, should have experience in API Automation like REST API etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Moderate to strong programming skills in JS.
• Knowledge of Web technologies like HTTP, JS, CSS, SOAP, REST.
• Should be able to work independently and take ownership
• Attention to detail
• Problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
