Sr. Staff Hardware Engineer

Role Overview: Join Enphase Energy as a Sr. Staff Hardware Engineer and become a part of the Product Engineering team. Your primary responsibility will involve maintaining and enhancing existing products, ensuring they remain functional, meet customer requirements, and comply with industry standards. You will play a crucial role in troubleshooting customer issues, implementing performance improvements, and addressing obsolescence concerns to optimize product performance. Key Responsibilities: - Provide hardware design support and propose cost reduction initiatives - Conduct failure root-cause analysis and qualify alternative parts for power electronics boards - Collaborate with cross-functional teams of hardware, firmware, test automation, and mechanical engineers - Contribute to field quality improvement, value analysis, and value engineering for product enhancement and support Qualifications Required: - B.E. with 12+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 10+ years of experience - Strong background in developing electronic products from concept to market launch - Proficiency in circuit schematic, PCB layout, simulation tools, bench testing, V&V testing, and debugging of hardware designs - Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively, particularly in field quality, failure, and root cause analysis - Familiarity with Python, embedded software development, and working in a test automation environment is advantageous - Significant experience in power electronics circuits, product validation, compliance, electrical grid standards, and VAVE practices - Expertise in IEC, UL, EN, ANSI, and other regulatory standards for solar inverters and power electronics products Note: Enphase Energy is a global energy technology company leading in the solar, battery, and electric vehicle charging products sector.
