As a Sr. Staff Hardware Engineer, you will be part of the Product Engineering team, who are responsible for maintaining and improving existing products throughout their lifecycle, including hardware fixes, performance enhancements, and addressing obsolescence issues. Essentially ensuring a product remains functional, meets customer needs by troubleshooting customer issues, and implementing continuous improvement strategies to optimize product performance and ensure products remain compliant with relevant industry regulations and standards. Your responsibilities will include providing hardware design support, proposing cost reduction initiatives, conducting failure root-cause analysis, and qualifying alternative parts for power electronics boards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of hardware, firmware, test automation, and mechanical engineers. Additionally, you will be actively involved in field quality improvement, value analysis, and value engineering for product enhancement and support. You must have a B.E. with 12+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 10+ years of experience. Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in developing electronic products from concept to market launch in a commercial environment. Proficiency in circuit schematic, PCB layout, simulation tools, bench testing, V&V testing, and debugging of hardware designs is essential. The ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively, particularly in field quality, failure, and root cause analysis, is required. Some familiarity with Python, embedded software development, and working in a test automation environment would be advantageous. Candidates with significant experience in power electronics circuits, product validation, compliance, electrical grid standards, and VAVE practices will have a competitive edge. Moreover, expertise in IEC, UL, EN, ANSI, and other regulatory standards for solar inverters and power electronics products is highly desirable. Role & responsibilities Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in wiring harness design, with at least 2 years working in electric vehicle or automotive design in Schematics.. Proven experience with the design and development of electrical systems and wiring harnesses for vehicles (Conventional or EV, Hybrid, PHEV, Commercial vehicle or passenger vehicle ). Role Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Electronics & Electrical Design Engineer to join our multidisciplinary product development team. This role combines responsibilities in both electronic hardware design (PCB, embedded systems) and electrical system design (wiring diagrams, control systems), with a focus on sensor-based and industrial applications. Key Responsibilities: Electronics Design: Design and develop analog/digital circuits, sensor interfaces, and embedded systems. Develop schematics and PCB layouts using Altium, OrCAD, Eagle, or KiCad. Validate components and conduct prototyping, EMI/EMC testing, and hardware validation. Create design documentation: schematics, BOMs, test reports, Gerber files. Interface with suppliers for PCB fabrication and components. Support DFMEA, design reviews, and regulatory compliance (RoHS, REACH, UL, CE). Electrical Design: Design electrical circuits, wiring harnesses, and control panels. Create/update 2D wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and circuit schematics.
