Sr. Software Engineer

With almost 20 years of experience in cloud solutions, Xactly utilizes proprietary data and AI to solve complex challenges faced by customers of all sizes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Possess a Master's degree with 5 years or a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in web application development and architecture. - Demonstrate extensive use of open-source software libraries. - Showcase strong expertise in at least one MVC architecture or its application. - Exhibit proficient hands-on experience in Java and SQL databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and Postgres. - Display robust experience in Springboot, REST Services, and building end-to-end continuous integration and deployment infrastructure for microservices. - Uphold a strong commitment to good engineering practices including code reviews, unit testing, and feature delivery. - Showcase excellent communication, teamwork, presentation, and facilitation skills. - Be a self-starter with a results-focused mindset capable of working independently and collaboratively within teams. **Qualifications Required:** - Prior experience in building modular, common, and scalable services is advantageous. - Familiarity with deployment automation tools like Chef or Puppet is a plus. - Experience in working within a distributed engineering team, including offshore collaboration, is beneficial. - Bonus points for contributing to open-source projects and familiarity with agile (scrum) development processes. - Proven track record of identifying and advocating new technologies to enhance end-user experience, software quality, and developer productivity. In your initial month at Xactly, you will familiarize yourself with the codebase, development processes, and deployments, along with gaining an understanding of the product from a customer perspective. By the end of three months, you will actively contribute to the overall codebase, with approved PRs deployed to production and involvement in design tasks. As you progress to six months, you will work more independently, collaborate closely with the product team, troubleshoot issues, and propose innovative ideas for product enhancement.
