Career Stream Business Application Tech Role Name Developer Objective The role exists in order to understand business, customer requirements and convert those to build codes, support testing, fix defects, conduct system analysis and develop high standard stable solutions, improve system stability basis compliable and quality agreed guidelines Acts of Responsibilities Requirement Analysis and Design:
- Understand the business requirements and document all requirements that enable identify, prioritize, process and gaps ;
- Perform phase-wise documentation on the project/requirement progress, gaps, estimates, feasibility impact analysis etc. as per the applicable methodology and have it reviewed by supervisors;
- Ensure resolution to all requirement queries, customizations and conversions as per agreed timelines ;
- Make recommendations on tactical aspects related to coding and testing that will support the project strategy Coding:
- Understand the overall design and create coding environment as per finalized technical specification document;
- Understand source code versioning and the tool used for the same Create source code from program specs, ensure documentation of code and share for review ;
- Participate in peer reviews;
- Ensure that code is defined basis coding compliable guidelines;
- Perform self-review using the checklists and periodically update supervisors with highlights/red[1]flags/recommendations ;
- Deliver outcomes basis the configuration management plan;
- Follow coding standards and best practices to check code quality;
- Conduct testing and fix defects during unit testing and rework basis inputs, if required;
- Support in the preparation of code review document;
- Prioritize activities and work methodology to manage project budget, planning and delivery Defect Management & Quality Control:
- Ensures that all solutions comply with regulatory and company standards Knowledge Management:
- Create specific artefacts for tasks allocated and share it with the project lead/ supervisor for review;
- Seek inputs from existing knowledge repository to resolve problems;
- Track coding and testing documents and ensure version controls are updated for all deliverables on the project;
- Raise and track issue logs and record solutions;
- Upload article in the knowledge management repository Change Management and communication:
- Execute Change Request ;
- Update documents and codes as required;
- Build content and support solution roadmap;
- Attend user calls, and capture required information and incident details for logging;
- Close tickets as per defined SLAs and once the incident is resolved, validation of the permanent fix is conducted and rolled-out on production Training and Self Development and Recruitment :
- Conduct sessions to demonstrate and share learnings in the team;
- Grooming fresher's/being buddy's;
- Provide inputs in creation of training courses and supporting artefacts on the training server such as demo, presentation etc
