Sr. Site Reliability Engineer

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at HRS, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the Lodging-as-a-Service (LaaS) platform. Your responsibilities will include: - Incident Handling: You will be responsible for identifying, responding to, and resolving production issues to minimize the impact on services. Participation in on-call rotations will require quick thinking and decisive action during critical incidents. - Reliability Roadmap: You will contribute to the reliability roadmap, support platform observability, and drive automation initiatives to enhance system resilience. - Monitoring and Metrics: Monitoring critical metrics such as error budgets, mean time to recovery (MTTR), and service level indicators (SLIs) will be part of your daily responsibilities to ensure optimal platform performance and availability. - System Optimization: You will work towards improving system reliability and operational efficiency by exploring new technologies, maintaining robust monitoring systems, and developing automation solutions. - Collaboration: Working closely with team leads and other SREs, you will implement best practices, refine incident response procedures, and contribute to the overall reliability and performance of the LaaS platform. Qualifications required for this role include: - Experience: 6-8 years in site reliability engineering or related areas. - Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java, Python, AWS cloud services, monitoring tools, software development methodologies, infrastructure as code tools, containerization, orchestration, networking, and distributed systems. - Soft Skills: Attention to detail, clear communication abilities, eagerness to learn new technologies, and proactive problem-solving approach.
