Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer - ETL

Role Overview: As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - ETL at ECI, you will play a crucial role in obtaining report requirements for all business, financial, and operations systems critical to core organizational functions. You will be responsible for researching and analyzing data, developing testcases, executing tests, and creating test summary reports for UAT testing. Your role will involve applying communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to maximize the benefit of Eze Castle systems investments and assist in implementing new process improvement systems. You will be part of a team that focuses on enterprise-wide strategic initiatives across all value streams, with an emphasis on end-to-end improvement, analysis, measurement, and cultural change. Key Responsibilities: - Strong database knowledge in Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MySQL. - Proficiency in SQL with experience in writing complex data validation queries. - Expertise in data warehouse testing and data warehouse concepts. - Developing, documenting, and maintaining various test deliverables such as Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Cases, Test Summaries, Traceability Matrix, Defects metrics, and test summary reports. - Working in an Agile environment and handling project deliveries including resource planning and effort estimation. - Collaborating with integrating applications for test data setup. - Deciding testing and automation testing processes, tools, and frameworks based on project requirements. - Working with the development team to ensure effective testing. - Understanding the defect tracking process and utilizing defect tracking tools like JIRA and Confluence. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to solve problems and thrive in a global team environment. - Adaptability to new testing technologies and flexibility to work in global and flexible hours occasionally. - Experience in onsite-offshore model and handling communication across stakeholders including the Business team. Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 6 to 10 years of software testing experience with three plus years focusing on Test leadership and management at the project and program level. - Experience in creating test strategies & test plans. - Deep knowledge and experience with distributed systems design and testing. - Understanding of various Testing Frameworks (Data Driven, Keyword driven, Page Object model, BDD Framework, Hydrate). - Familiarity with ETL tools such as Informatica and Abinitio. - Experience with automation testing tools like Selenium. - Comfort and desire to build and work with globally located teams. - Experience with Agile processes and other SDLC models. - Capability to understand and debug logs using defect management or logging mechanisms like HPQC, JIRA, Confluence. - Ability to generate comprehensive automation reports.
