Sr. QA Tester

**Job Description:** You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to contribute to the test strategy and test plan aligned with the client UK testing framework and audit standards. Your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with the Business Analyst/Product Owner to analyze user stories/requirements/specifications for test validity and feasibility. - Ensuring optimized coverage and providing test evidence that requirements are met, in coordination with various stakeholders. - Coaching and advising a team of testers for a specific test phase, ensuring quality outcomes, and acting as a deputy for the Test Manager when necessary. - Understanding test data requirements, preparing, and acquiring test data in collaboration with engineering and Business Analyst/Product Owner. - Creating test design specifications and test cases for the system under test, seeking feedback from Business subject matter experts and stakeholders. - Reporting accurately to various stakeholders on test outcomes, ensuring acceptance criteria are met, and raising defects with clear evidence for timely resolution. - Driving continuous improvements with a quality-first mindset, designing and executing tests either manually or via automated testing. - Assuring test design and coverage through peer reviews, capturing defects, and ensuring adherence to the client Test Framework. - Executing automated tests using the agreed Test automation framework and updating test management tools with outcomes and metrics for clear reporting. Additionally, you will work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the Software Development Lifecycle. **Functional / Technical Skills:** The ideal candidate for this role will possess: - Significant experience within Insurance, Financial Services, or e-Commerce Sector. - 8+ years of experience as a Software Test Manager or similar role. - Knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies and test management software. - Experience in identifying appropriate techniques, tools, and guidelines for required tests. - Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks like Cucumber, Gherkin, Ruby, Selenium. - Exposure to designing test solutions with RESTful APIs and SOAP integrations. - Familiarity with diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments. - Ability to work in both in-house and outsourced engineering environments. - Relevant professional qualifications such as ISTQB or equivalent practical experience. - Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, time-management, interpersonal, and communication skills. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.,
