Sr. Purchase Officer

As a Purchase Manager at Jalan Infrastructure LLP, your role will primarily involve procuring construction materials such as sand, cement, stone chips, bitumen, etc. specifically for road/highway construction projects. You will be responsible for handling machinery and material purchases, conducting market research to identify cost-effective suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery. Additionally, you will inspect inventory, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with site/store/delivery teams for order tracking and issue resolution. Key Responsibilities: - Procure construction materials such as sand, cement, stone chips, bitumen, etc. - Handle machinery and material purchases specific to road/highway construction. - Conduct market research to identify cost-effective suppliers and vendors. - Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure optimal value and timely delivery. - Inspect inventory, monitor stock levels, and initiate reorders. - Coordinate with site/store/delivery teams for order tracking and issue resolution. Qualifications Required: - Graduate / Diploma in Material Management - Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably in road/highway construction projects - Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities - Experience with inventory systems and material tracking - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Deep knowledge of road construction material supply chains Please note that male candidates are preferred for this position. It is also preferable that you are currently working as a Purchase Manager in a road/highway construction company/industry for at least the past five years.
