Sr Product Owner

Role Description:-The Scrum Guide states that the Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of the product resulting from work of the development team . The Product Owner (PO) role is a key liaison between Product Management and the rest of Engineering. The PM will help research and define the what , and the PO will help define the how and when with the help of the engineering team. Once there is alignment between PM and Engineering on the goals, the PO is responsible for maximizing the value of the product by delivering on the goals working with the development team. Critical Skills & Functional Competencies (What this role does) Partner with the Technical Owner on an agile software engineering squad to ensure high quality software is delivered in a predictable mannerParticipate in all aspects of the product development lifecycle from design to deployment and maintenanceWork closely with stakeholders (Product Managers, Technical Owner/Engineers, Architects, Security, DBAs, User Experience Designers, Customers, and other Product Owners) to understand complex problems and translate them into solutionsParticipate in shaping and upholding the product visionBuild and maintain a prioritized backlog in alignment with the company s technical and business strategyCollaborate with the squad to define Epics/Stories that meet the Definition of Ready , and after development/testing meet the Definition of Done Lead/Manage/Participate in Scrum ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, sprint demos)Play an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful squad completion of Release/Sprint/Quarterly GoalsDrive sprint and release plans, while tracking progress towards delivery timelines, and communicating changes to stakeholders
