Sr Product Manager, Data Platform

As a Sr Product Manager for the Lumina AI Data Platform team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the evolution of the platform by acquiring new data sources, transforming data, and integrating AI and machine learning technologies. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, defining technical requirements, managing development backlogs, and ensuring platform enhancements meet quality standards and consumer expectations. Key Responsibilities: - Drive requirements gathering activities to define and prioritize technical requirements for the platform, addressing consumer needs and pain points. - Define clear technical user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases to guide modeling and development work. - Work closely with engineering to ensure technical feasibility and scalability of enhancements. - Collaborate with QA teams to develop test plans, validate platform performance, and ensure quality standards are met. - Plan and coordinate releases, including user documentation, training materials, and support processes. - Ensure platform enhancements adhere to security, privacy, and ethical standards. - Track project milestones, deliver updates to leadership, and escalate and resolve problem management issues. - Meet service level agreements for escalated development tickets, perform triage issue investigation, and partner with Problem Management to investigate issue reports. - Maintain tickets and agile boards, participate in backlog refinement activities, and track team performance metrics. - Review stories for acceptance, participate in release demos, and provide mentorship to junior team members. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (Master's preferred). - 7+ years of progressive Technical Business Analyst experience with a cloud-native data and AI platform. - Experience working with cloud-native data lakes such as Big Query, Snowflake, Databricks, Synapse, Athena. - Strong written communication skills for process and product documentation, working directly with stakeholders. - Expertise in conducting analysis using SQL, generative AI, machine learning, data governance, data architecture, and APIs. - Project management skills, technical and business requirements gathering experience. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, strong analytical and reasoning skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
