Sr. Power BI Developer

Role Overview: You are a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer with expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), responsible for designing scalable data models, optimizing complex DAX calculations, and delivering impactful dashboards to drive decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, data engineers, and leadership to develop enterprise-level BI solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI. - Create optimized, reusable, and scalable DAX measures for advanced business calculations. - Develop and maintain data models (star schema, snowflake, composite models) to support reporting needs. - Write complex DAX queries and measures for KPIs, time intelligence, and custom business logic. - Optimize DAX code to improve query performance, reduce refresh times, and handle large datasets efficiently. - Troubleshoot performance issues using DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, and VertiPaq Analyzer. - Collaborate with data engineering teams to design efficient ETL pipelines and dataflows. - Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across reports. - Apply advanced techniques like row-level security (RLS), incremental refresh, calculation groups, and parameterized reports. - Work closely with business teams to translate requirements into technical designs and BI solutions. - Provide ad-hoc analysis and insights to support strategic and operational decision-making. - Mentor junior developers on Power BI best practices and DAX coding standards. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer or BI Developer. - Advanced proficiency in DAX (time intelligence, advanced filters, dynamic calculations, context transitions). - Strong knowledge of Power Query (M language), SQL, and relational database concepts. - Experience with enterprise data modeling, RLS, calculation groups, and performance tuning. - Proficiency with DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, ALM Toolkit, and Performance Analyzer.
