Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Key highlights of the role are listed below (Indicative and not exhaustive):

Coordinate and liaise with the appointed Advocates for handling cases filed under Section 25 of the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007 (PSS Act, 2007), including preparation and submission of necessary documentation, ensuring timely updates, and maintaining compliance with statutory obligations and reply of any notice/ communications received from the customer.

Collaborate with legal counsel and external Law Firms to manage and oversee Arbitration matters, including reviewing/ replying arbitration notices, assisting in strategy formulation, gathering relevant documents, and ensuring effective representation of the organizations interests.

Provide strategic legal inputs and guidance for case management, monitor progress of litigation/arbitration proceedings, and assist in evaluating the legal risk and potential outcomes.

Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping, and reporting of all ongoing cases and arbitration matters to senior management.

Support internal departments by providing legal clarity and direction in relation to ongoing disputes, claims, and regulatory matters.

Legal notices process to be managed start to end. This would include Drafting of Legal notices as per portfolio and dispatching the same through vendor and also maintain the delivery receipts.

Maintain a Legal MIS for all the activities been done. This would include dispatch of all notices and also money collections done through legal tools.

Applicants should possess the following attributes:

Experience in handling litigation and/or arbitration matters.

Strong drafting and documentation skills.

Ability to coordinate with advocates, law firms, and internal teams.

Understanding of RBI regulations and compliance processes.

Proficient in legal research and analysis.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Effective case and time management abilities.
