About The Role
The Senior Network Engineer II role at Marriott Tech Accelerator is a critical position within the Network Reliability Engineering (NRE) team. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in designing and deploying next-generation DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM) solutions across Marriott's extensive global network infrastructure. This includes supporting property networks, data centers, cloud environments, and corporate networks. The role involves close collaboration with a matrix of network architects and engineers to drive the adoption of NRE practices, ensuring high availability, efficiency, and security of DDI services. The engineer will be responsible for establishing robust, scalable, and cost-effective DDI solutions that meet the increasing demands of modern IT systems, bridging traditional approaches with innovative, automated solutions to enhance network reliability and performance.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a graduate degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, along with a minimum of six years of experience in developing and implementing network solutions with a focus on DDI technologies. Hands-on experience with industry-leading DDI appliances from vendors such as Infoblox, BlueCat, or EfficientIP is essential. Familiarity with cloud-based DDI solutions from AWS, Azure, or other providers is required. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in configuring DNS security policies, managing DNS zones, DHCP scopes, and IP address management techniques including subnetting and supernetting. Additional qualifications include experience with scripting automation, troubleshooting complex networking issues, and integrating DDI with network management tools. Knowledge of foundational networking protocols such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, TCP/IP, UDP, NAT, and related technologies is vital. Certifications in relevant network technologies and cloud platforms are advantageous, along with experience working within Agile frameworks.

- Understand and align with the strategic needs of stakeholders across various business units.
- Develop clear goals and action plans to prioritize work and ensure project success.
- Coordinate resources, schedules, and efforts to deliver projects on time.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support business initiatives.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Provide accurate, timely reports and presentations to leadership and stakeholders.
