Sr Network Engineer

As a Technical Specialist within Enterprise Network Services (ENS) at the company, your role will involve providing operational support for the WWT GlobalFI/Fintech Customer global Network. You are expected to have a fundamental network understanding and possess excellent knowledge of network technologies from top vendors. Working effectively as a member of a diverse geographical team and collaborating with project managers and senior stakeholders are essential aspects of this role. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct yourself as a seasoned technical professional. - Deliver regional One team approach as an ENS stakeholder. - Take ownership of operational excellence. - Adhere to ENS engineering and participate in it. - Ensure solutions transition into supportable services via the ready for service framework. - Mentor and cross train ENS staff as necessary. **Qualifications Required:** - At least 8 years of experience in financial services. - Expertise in Networking Domain as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). - Proven delivery experience, preferably within a financial services company. - Experience in Service Management (ITIL) specifically in incident, problem, and change management. - Ability to deliver services in high-pressure environments. In addition to the above, some essential skills include being diligent, thorough, and professional, having good organizational and planning skills, and being able to communicate effectively at all levels. It is important to have a fundamental understanding of TCP/IP, network switching & routing, Cisco routing and switching, as well as knowledge of monitoring and analysis tools like SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, and Wireshark. Desirable skills include knowledge of Cisco ACI, Meraki, ISE, SD-WAN Technologies (preferably Silver Peak), Terraform, automation, and Python Scripting. Professional qualifications against relevant technologies and experience in project management and standards like ISO20000 and ISO27001 are also advantageous.
