Sr Manager/Manager - Design & Development

Role & responsibilities

• Lead

  design & development

  projects for consumer durable appliances (refrigerators, ACs, washing machines, etc.)
• Drive innovation in

  product design

  , ensuring efficiency, aesthetics, and manufacturability
• Develop new components and systems using

  Creo and AutoCAD

• Collaborate with vendors, tooling partners, and internal stakeholders for prototyping and validation
  
• Oversee

  design verification, testing

  , and compliance with safety and quality standards (ISI, BIS, CE, etc.)
• Conduct root cause analysis and initiate product improvements for performance or cost optimization
  
• Lead

  Value Engineering / VA-VE

  and cost-saving initiatives
• Mentor and guide the junior design engineers and ensure

  best design practices

  are followed
• Interface with

  production and quality

  teams to ensure DFM/A (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly)
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in white goods

Preferred candidate profile

• Design Tools:

  AutoCAD, Creo (Pro/ENGINEER)
• Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
  
• Knowledge of GD&T, DFMEA, DVP&R, and Value Engineering
  
• Hands-on with BOM creation, component design, and validation
  
• Strong understanding of white goods.
