Sr Manager User Exp Design

Role Overview As a design leader at Honeywell User Experience (HUE) Design Studio for Performance Materials and Technologies (PMT) at Honeywell Technology Solutions Lab in India (HTS), you will lead a growing team of exceptional User Experience designers to create delightful solutions and a portfolio of products. You will be responsible for developing design capability and infrastructure in line with the business strategy, recruiting and developing talent, managing resources, operational plans, and overseeing project work. Additionally, you will collaborate with other designers and researchers, define design expertise, and set creative direction with strategic design partners. Key Responsibilities - Lead and grow a multi-disciplinary User Experience Design team in the Bangalore Design Studio - Drive 2-3 innovative offerings based on UX approach - Work closely with PMT Global Experience Design teams to align design strategy with corporate objectives - Contribute to HUE best practices for User Experience Design throughout the product development process - Participate as a decision-maker for design at project reviews and provide a clear perspective on progressive User Experience Design - Create and execute human-centered designs to differentiate brands globally - Recruit, develop, and manage User Experience Design resources for the studio - Collaborate with global design studios and business units to promote a world-class organization - Contribute to management updates, operational reviews, and leadership dialogue - Establish a framework for regular usability testing across all products - Identify opportunities for improving UX/HUE designers in data visualization techniques - Promote an end-to-end user experience strategy across all product touchpoints - Demonstrate research skills across qualitative and quantitative methods - Promote system thinking and storytelling techniques among key designers Qualifications Required - Bachelors/Masters degree in design, human factors, or related discipline from an institute of repute - 12 or more years of experience in User Experience design of products and software applications - Experience working with Agile environment and lean UX methodologies - Design language strategy with exposure to UX Design methodologies, User Interface design, Figma, Creativity & Visualization, and Interactive designs - Ability to translate complex vision into a workable design story and influence cross-functional teams - International experience working with regional businesses and design teams - Demonstrated leadership experience in setting strategic and annual operating plans - Excellent communication, presentation skills, and ability to articulate design intent - Experience in directing and managing external design and development firms (Note: The additional details about the company have been omitted as they were not present in the provided job description),
