Sr. Manager Scheduling & Procurement

As a Part Ordering Specialist at Tata Motors, your role will involve managing the system for part ordering related to vehicle production and addressing material consumption and audit issues. You will be responsible for ensuring that any part ownership aligns with the guidelines set by the present system. To excel in this position, you should possess knowledge of SAP MM and PP modules, have exposure to supply chain management, and be familiar with manufacturing processes to effectively deal with supplier quality issues. Being a team player with strong project management skills is crucial for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Scheduling: You will be expected to interpret the production plan and generate schedules for the timely procurement of parts required for production. - Inventory Monitoring: Your role will involve planning the procurement of parts to meet production requirements and maintain inventory norms. - Logistics: Understanding the workings of logistics activities will be essential to ensure the timely availability of parts as per the plan. - Vendor Management: You will need to comprehend the manufacturing and commercial processes to effectively interact with vendors and ensure timely availability of parts. - SPD Requirement: It will be your responsibility to understand and fulfill the SPD requirement in addition to the regular production plan. - Cost Reduction: Introducing and implementing cost reduction ideas for existing and upcoming models will be a key part of your role. - Plant Production Target: You will be tasked with achieving the yearly production target on a month-on-month basis. - Model Migration: Implementing model parts in coordination with quality and production teams, as well as APL, while ensuring zero obsolescence.
