Must have an In-depth understanding of Flexo printing machinery. Ensure optimal uptime, preventive maintenance, and technical efficiency of all machines, automation systems, and plant utilities while driving continuous improvement. Hands-on experience with PLC/SCADA systems, servo systems, and automation platforms.

1015 years in maintenance within the label/packaging industry (preferably Flexo)

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering

[Diploma holders with rich relevant experience may also be considered]

Plant Heads & Directors

1.

• Oversee maintenance of flexographic presses (Bobst), digital presses, slitter-rewinders, inspection systems, and die-cutting units.
• Manage real-time breakdown support with a focus on minimizing downtime.
• Lead preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance schedules.

2.

• Ensure upkeep and troubleshooting of PLC, HMI, servo drives, and automation systems.
• Coordinate with OEMs for updates, calibration, and system diagnostics on digital printing platforms.
• Support IoT-based equipment monitoring and automation upgrades for efficiency tracking.

3.

• Develop CMMS-based maintenance planning, reporting, and spare parts control.
• Plan and execute scheduled shutdown maintenance with minimal impact on production.
• Analyse machine performance data and plan technical improvements.

4.

• Manage uninterrupted operation of compressors, chillers, AHUs, UPS, DG sets, and power distribution.
• Monitor temperature/humidity control systems critical for printing press environments.
• Ensure EHS compliance for electrical panels, fire systems, and pressroom safety.

5.

• Problem-solving approach with strong team leadership and communication skills.
• Supervise a team of technicians and shift engineers.
• Train staff in troubleshooting Flexo/digital equipment, electrical diagnostics, and press automation.
• Promote safety, 5S, and GMP standards across the maintenance area.

6.

• Oversee all AMC and service contracts.
• Optimize maintenance costs through spare parts standardization, vendor audits, and efficient resource planning.
• Liaise with OEMs and third-party vendors for remote diagnostics and service visits.

7.

• Lead installation & commissioning of new equipment’s.
• Drive TPM, Lean Maintenance, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) programs.
• Recommend machine upgrades, retrofits, and automation improvements for quality and output.
