As a Senior Manager/Deputy General Manager in the Finance department, you will be a crucial part of the senior management team, responsible for directing, controlling, and administering the financial activities of the organization. Your main focus will be to provide the Plant Director and the Controller with accurate financial assessments and information to ensure that planning and budgeting activities align with corporate goals. Additionally, you will oversee the finalization of annual accounts in compliance with local statutory requirements. You will also play a key role in taxation-related activities, Black Line implementation, and coordination of all Corporate Governance activities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Add value to the management by providing accurate financial information and actively participating in management decisions - Prepare and submit financial and management accounts accurately and in a timely manner to the GKN regional/corporate office - Ensure the adequacy of internal controls and corporate governance - Finalize statutory accounts in accordance with regulations - Manage the overall financial and accounting function, including maintaining full accounts, managing cash flow, handling statutory accounts, internal controls, costing, and inventory accounting - Plan the financial operations, develop, implement, and monitor financial accounting systems to maintain adequate accounting standards and internal controls - Represent the organization in dealings with bankers, legal advisors, major clients, and other stakeholders as necessary - Supervise the selection and training of finance staff, establish control mechanisms, and delegate responsibilities to subordinates - Collaborate with colleagues in other functions, advising them on the financial impacts of their activities, especially in budgeting and forecasting - Ensure compliance with local statutory financial reporting requirements - Review and implement benchmark practices to enhance productivity on the shop floor - Ensure compliance with Companies Act and Board meeting requirements - Implement recommendations from internal, external, and corporate audit reviews in a timely manner - Prepare and review Full potential projects as they arise In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the financial health and strategic decision-making of the organization.
