Sr Manager - Commercial Management

You will be responsible for all commercial and financial management activities in part of the India region at Ciena. Your main duties will include ensuring correct financial stewardship, supporting the business with appropriate commercial deal structures, acting as an expert in Ciena's commercial business process, and mentoring junior team members. You will also be required to provide business and financial analysis, propose transactional structures, deliver financial planning, supervise commercial activities, prepare reports, and provide post-deal commercial analysis. Building effective working relationships with account leaders, influencing decision-making processes, developing P&L analysis, and ensuring compliance with internal processes and governance will be crucial aspects of your role. Additionally, you will liaise with other regional teams, understand/explain business impact of new opportunities, monitor performance of won opportunities, and take a proactive approach to continuous improvement and problem-solving. Qualifications required for this role include being an experienced commercial manager/deal desk manager, possessing strong financial competence with knowledge of revenue recognition requirements, understanding deal structure and legal requirements, having experience and/or understanding of the telecoms industry, being capable of engaging with leaders at all levels, and having the ability to navigate ambiguous situations and support individuals at all levels to understand.,
