Key Responsibilities

Quality Leadership & Assurance

• Head the entire Quality function, leading a structured team including Deputy Managers, Assistant Managers,

Engineers, and Inspectors. • Ensure strict compliance with ISO, ASTM, and customer-specific standards across all

product lines. • Drive ISO audits, external certifications, and customer audits, ensuring smooth execution and no major

non-conformities.

Process & Technical Excellence

• Establish robust quality systems for incoming material inspection, process control, and final product validation. •

Drive improvements in casting, machining, gearbox, and assembly through structured problem-solving (RCA, CAPA).

• Promote continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean) across functions.

Documentation & Reporting

• Own and maintain quality documentation NCRs, CAPA, audit reports, control plans, PPAP, MIS, and customer

quality reports. • Present quality performance dashboards to senior leadership and customers.

People Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Lead, mentor, and develop Deputy Managers, Assistant Managers, and the extended quality team to enhance

capability and accountability. • Drive a culture of ownership, discipline, and technical excellence within the quality

function. • Work closely with Production, Procurement, and R&D to ensure quality integration across the value chain. •

Act as the primary quality representative for customer interactions, audits, and escalations.

Digital & System Integration

• Ensure effective usage of SAP S4 Hana (Quality Module) for deviation handling, traceability, and process monitoring.
• Introduce digital tools and best practices for real-time quality control and analytics.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Education: B.Tech / B.E. (Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering or higher compulsory). • Experience: Minimum

10 years in Quality Management in manufacturing (casting, machining, gearbox, assembly). • Technical Expertise:

Strong exposure in at least two of the four domains Casting, Machining, Gearbox, Assembly. Proven knowledge of

ferrous & non-ferrous materials and inspection techniques. • Certifications: ISO Quality Management Systems, ASTM

familiarity; Six Sigma / Lean preferred. • Skills: Strong leadership with ability to manage mid-level managers and

engineers. Track record in ISO audits, customer audits, and certifications. Excellent communication, problem-solving,

and decision-making skills.
