Sr Lead Software Engineer

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Connected Commerce Proprietary Wallets domain, you will be an integral part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your role is crucial in driving significant business impact by leveraging your deep technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to tackle various challenges across technologies and applications. You will regularly provide technical guidance and direction to support the business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors. Your responsibilities include developing secure and high-quality production code, reviewing and debugging code written by others, and driving decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes. As a subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus, you will actively contribute to the engineering community by advocating firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle. Additionally, you will influence peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies while fostering a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect. To excel in this role, you are required to have formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with at least 5 years of applied experience. Hands-on experience in Java, Spring, AWS, event streaming, SQL, and NoSQL DB is essential. You should possess practical experience in delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability. Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, along with extensive knowledge of software applications and technical processes, including expertise in cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile technologies, is crucial. The ability to independently tackle design and functionality problems with minimal oversight, coupled with practical cloud native experience, is expected. A background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field is preferred. Preferred qualifications for this role include experience in banking and digital wallets, as well as possessing AWS certification.,
