Sr. Java Tech Lead VP

The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst position is a senior level role within Wholesale Lending Technology, focused on establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your primary objective will be to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities. We are seeking a Technical Lead with extensive hands-on experience in developing server-side components in Java, including enterprise applications using Java/J2EE & Spring. You will be involved in developing strategic state-of-the-art solutions using Agile/DevOps methodologies, Microservices architecture, and Docker for application hosting. This role will require you to work on fast-paced, highly visible, and challenging projects. As a Technical Lead, you will collaborate with multiple management teams to ensure seamless integration of functions, identify necessary system enhancements, and deploy new products and process improvements. Your responsibilities will include resolving high impact problems/projects through thorough evaluation of complex business processes, providing expertise in applications programming, ensuring application design aligns with the overall architecture blueprint, and developing standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation. You will also be responsible for mentoring mid-level developers and analysts, assessing risks in business decisions, and driving compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Your role will involve analyzing and collaborating on technical solutions and strategies with the team, providing optimal solutions for clients, owning the success of deliverables, conducting code reviews, and ensuring adherence to Citigroup's engineering standards. Additionally, you will contribute to continual improvement by suggesting enhancements to software architecture, development processes, and new technologies. As a Technical Lead, you will operate with a limited level of direct supervision and act as a technical advisor or coach to junior team members. Key Technology Skills required for this role include expert-level knowledge in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring framework stack, Microservices architecture, Oracle/Mongo DB, SCMs like GIT, JIRA, OpenShift, Docker, Kafka, Agile/Scrum methodology, systems analysis, design, architecture fundamentals, and strong communication skills to interact effectively with business stakeholders. You should have 12+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis with Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, etc., along with a Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience (Master's degree preferred).
