Sr. Java Developer

As a Software Engineer III at Availity, you will play a crucial role in transforming the healthcare landscape by analyzing, designing, programming, debugging, and modifying software enhancements and products. Your responsibilities will include: - Implementing a backlog of items to fulfill a focused roadmap. - Working in a team following Agile Scrum principles and incorporating development best practices. - Working full stack on front-end UI and/or backend processing using technologies such as Java, JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, Oracle, & MySQL. - Applying micro-service architectures and hosting & consuming RESTful APIs. - Ensuring code efficiency, optimization, and performance while maintaining technical debt and applying security principles. - Collaborating on programming or development standards and reviewing others" code to ensure quality. - Innovating with ideas and products and performing unit testing and complex debugging. - Writing technical documentation, gathering technical requirements, and designing efficient solutions. - Demonstrating development best practices, managing technical debt, and applying Object Oriented Design (OOD) principles. Qualifications required for this role include: - 4+ years of progressive work experience designing & developing solutions for business initiatives. - A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent. - Proficiency in Java with a good knowledge of its ecosystems and experience with Hibernate. - Familiarity with Java Profiling, load testing, memory management, and system reliability. - Understanding of database design principles & query language and proficiency in code versioning tools like Git. - Experience with Linux and familiarity with build tools such as Gradle or Maven. To set yourself apart, experience in AWS or similar cloud services, knowledge of the healthcare industry or ANSI X12, proficiency with Splunk or platform observability tools, and using New Relic or other monitoring tools will be beneficial.,
