Job Description

Backend Engineer / Senior Backend Engineer (Java) TechBlocks

Experience:

Backend Engineer / Senior Backend Engineer (Java)

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain
Java-based backend services & microservices
using Spring Boot.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Write clean, robust, maintainable, and optimized code.
Improve application performance by analyzing bottlenecks and refactoring code.
Create and maintain
SQL queries, database schemas
, and ensure optimized DB performance.
Implement and maintain
CI/CD pipelines
using Jenkins & Bitbucket.
Debug and test APIs using tools like
Postman
and your preferred IDE.
Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure availability, scalability, and security of backend systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
5+ years of hands-on backend development experience
using Java.
Strong expertise in
Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture
.
Solid understanding of
SQL
(schema design, optimization, queries).
Hands-on experience with
CI/CD pipelines
(Jenkins, Bitbucket).
Familiarity with API testing tools such as
Postman
.
Proficiency in any leading IDE (IntelliJ, Eclipse, VS Code, etc.).
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
