Sr. Infra Analyst

As a Backup Administrator, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and supporting enterprise backup solutions using Veeam and EMC NetWorker. Your key responsibilities will include performing regular backup and restore testing, developing and maintaining backup and disaster recovery strategies, and deploying and configuring backup software, media agents, and storage targets. It will also be your responsibility to optimize backup processes for performance, reliability, and scalability, monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and escalate issues as needed. You will be required to maintain logs and documentation for all backup activities, assess storage requirements, and plan capacity growth. Recommending enhancements to improve backup efficiency and reduce costs will be an essential part of your role. Ensuring that backup data is protected and compliant with organizational policies and regulatory standards, managing encryption, access controls, and other security measures, and working closely with IT teams, database administrators, and application owners to meet backup requirements are also significant responsibilities. During disaster recovery incidents, you will provide support and maintain detailed documentation of backup configurations and procedures. To be successful in this role, you must have a profound knowledge of data backup and recovery concepts, at least 7 years of experience in backup administration with Veeam and EMC NetWorker, a strong understanding of storage architectures in SAN/NAS environments, and experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V. Furthermore, familiarity with scripting and automation tools, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong communication and documentation abilities, and the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively are required. Experience with cloud backup solutions, knowledge of other backup tools and enterprise storage solutions, and an understanding of network protocols and security best practices will also be beneficial for this role.,
