As a Backup Administrator, your primary responsibility will be to implement, monitor, and support enterprise backup solutions using Veeam and EMC NetWorker. You will be tasked with performing regular backup and restore testing to ensure data integrity and availability. It will also be part of your role to develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery (DR) strategies and procedures, deploy and configure backup software, media agents, and storage targets, and optimize backup processes for performance, reliability, and scalability. In this role, you will monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and escalate issues as needed. You will be expected to maintain logs and documentation for all backup activities, assess storage requirements, and plan capacity growth. Additionally, you will recommend enhancements to improve backup efficiency and reduce costs while ensuring that backup data is protected and compliant with organizational policies and regulatory standards. Collaboration will be key as you work closely with IT teams, database administrators, and application owners to ensure backup requirements are met.
