Job Description for Senior Fitter – Beneficiation Plant:

Department: Mechanical Maintenance

Experience: 5 – 10 Years (in Beneficiation / Pellet / Mining / Steel industry)
Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Fitter / Mechanical Trade

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Fitter to lead and execute fitting, maintenance, and repair work in the Beneficiation Plant. The role involves supervising fitters/helpers, ensuring smooth functioning of plant equipment, and minimizing breakdowns for uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform fitting, assembly, dismantling, and maintenance of beneficiation equipment such as crushers, screens, classifiers, thickeners, pumps, hydrocyclones, slurry pipelines, and conveyors.
• Lead and guide fitters and helpers during shift operations.
• Identify mechanical faults, carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Ensure proper alignment, lubrication, and replacement of worn-out parts.
• Maintain records of maintenance work, spare parts usage, and daily activity logs.
• Coordinate with Mechanical Engineer/Shift Incharge for smooth execution of maintenance jobs.
• Ensure safe working practices while handling heavy equipment and tools.
• Support breakdown rectification and quick restoration of equipment.
• Assist in overhauling major equipment during shutdowns.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of beneficiation plant machinery.
• Hands-on experience in fitting, welding, and assembly.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and troubleshoot equipment.
• Leadership skills to manage fitters and helpers.
• Good problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
• Awareness of industrial safety standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
