Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Inventory Management & Control

Maintain daily stock of raw materials, packing materials, engineering spares, consumables, and finished goods.
Perform GRN (Goods Receipt Note) entries with correct quantity, batch, weight, and documentation.
Ensure FIFO/FEFO implementation for all materials.
Conduct daily/weekly/monthly physical stock verification and reconcile variances.

2. Material Handling & Documentation

Oversee unloading, storage, and stacking of incoming materials as per safety and quality guidelines.
Issue materials to production based on approved requisitions.
Maintain updated records in SAP
Check material quality during receipt and escalate discrepancies immediately.

3. Compliance & Audit

Ensure adherence to statutory, QA, and safety norms.
Support internal and external audits with complete documentation.
Maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards in the stores area.

4. Cross-functional Coordination

Work closely with production, QA, maintenance, and purchase teams for smooth plant operations.
Raise timely alerts on low stock and fast-moving consumables.
