Sr. Engineer-Civil

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the execution of civil engineering works for large-scale housing projects, with a strong focus on piling works and aluminium formwork.
• Plan, monitor, and manage project activities to ensure timely completion, cost-effectiveness, and quality compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and construction schedules, ensuring adherence to design standards and safety regulations.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and risk assessments to maintain high construction standards.
• Manage site teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure productivity and accountability.
• Prepare progress reports, work schedules, and cost estimates for senior management review.
• Implement best practices, innovative methods, and corrective measures to enhance project efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8-10+ years of experience in civil engineering and project execution, with strong expertise in piling works and aluminium formwork. For diploma 15+ years experience.
• Proven track record of managing large residential/housing projects from start to finish.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, material specifications, and industry codes/standards.
• Knowledge of green building practices
• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and statutory compliance.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent technical knowledge in piling, formwork systems, structural works, and finishing works.
• Possesses comprehensive technical expertise in construction methodologies, material specifications, and compliance with established industry standards
• Knowledge of relevant IS codes, ISO, QA/QC and safety norms.
• Proficiency in project planning software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and other reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
