Responsible for the engineering of assigned products through process design, development, implementation, and improvement, utilizing knowledge and experience in product design, fabrication, and assembly.
Qualifications & Skills •
• Proficiency in at least one major CAD software package (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD,.) • Knowledge of relevant industry standards & regulations. • Excellent communication & teamwork abilities. • Able to read & execute engineering drawings with shop floor team.
Key Responsibilities: • Lead the design and development of new products from concept to production. • Generate detailed engineering drawings, test reports, Bill of materials (BOM) & manufacturing specifications following industry standards. • Prepare micro plan & execute the allocated design activities of NPD project within specified timeline & budget. • Select appropriate materials, & manufacturing processes for optimal performance, cost & manufacturability • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new product designs. • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other engineers to ensure cohesive product development. • To work in collaboration within NPD team in order to execute the engineering activities- measured by one-to-one review. • Oversee prototype creation and testing, ensuring designs meet necessary standards and regulations. • Continually improve product development processes and methodologies. • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance. • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate into product development.
