Role Overview:

We are seeking a senior firmware engineer between 4 to 7 years of experience, who can contribute to the firmware activities for our multi-circuit power metering system. A new firmware team is being established in Bangalore to drive the following activities end-to-end:

  1. Firmware Transition and In-House Development:

Lead the transition of firmware activities from our partner to in-house operations. You'll oversee collaboration and discussions with our partner to ensure seamless knowledge transfer. Post-transition, you'll drive further feature additions and enhancements to the multi-circuit meter.
  2. Next-Generation System Development:

Take charge of designing a new multi-circuit meter system from scratch, including the complete in-house development of the processor, operating system, and application. We are currently finalizing the architecture and design for this new product, and we need your passion and expertise to lead these discussions.

C/C++ and any RTOS (preferably VxWorks or Linux)

  • System thinking skills and familiarity with metering products and complete system architecture is preferred.
  • Experience in communication protocols: TCP/IP, MODBUS, SPI, I2C, RS-485

  • Comprehensive experience in firmware/software engineering design requirements, specifications, initial designing, coding, debugging, and unit testing
  • Hands-on experience with source code control, bug tracking, and embedded firmware development best practices
  • Proficiency with debugging tools
  • Knowledge of designing and developing interrupt-driven applications using real-time operating systems
  • Understanding of networking environments and protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP)

Project Overview:

HDPM6000

Ideal for critical power environments like data centers, hospitals, and manufacturing facilities, the HDPM6000 offers incredible flexibility. Each head unit connects to multiple metering modules, allowing you to monitor up to 192 circuits in virtually any configuration. Easy to install in IEC or ANSI panels, or as a Busway solution, the meter uses industry-standard communication protocols to seamlessly share data with various systems. Uniquely, it captures voltage disturbances on every circuit, supporting a wide range of applications from energy cost management to advanced power events analysis.
