Job Description

As an Application Engineer in the Order Engineering Team, your role involves: - Layout and configuration of switchgear. - Designing control schemes using PLCs and/or relays for automated transfer operations. - Creating electrical drawings and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD. - Designing ground fault protective schemes. - Generating bills of material and modifying standard assemblies as needed. - Interpreting customer requirements from various documents. - Ensuring assignments are within design, budget, and schedule limitations. - Communicating project concerns and suggestions with the Project Manager and Engineering Manager. - Participating in proposal acceptance reviews for systems engineering scope. - Providing virtual technical support for shop floor orders. - Taking up stretched assignments as required. - Being able to work flexible timings to support the United States SE-shop floor. Required Competencies: - Strong basic Electrical Engineering knowledge. - Good verbal and written communication skills. - Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills. - Excellent problem resolution skills. - Ability to interpret basic drawings. - Being able to work in a virtual environment. - Being a team player and working in a multicultural team. Preferred Competencies: - Knowledge of low voltage switchboard/switchgear design. - Experience using AutoCAD. - Familiarity with relays and their function. - Knowledge of UL standards like UL1558 and UL891. Behavioral Competencies: - Being professional, ethical, courteous, and conscientious. - Being passionate, open, respectful, straightforward, and acting with integrity. - Delivering high performance and being pragmatic and fast. Qualifications: - BE/B.Tech or Masters in Electrical/Power system Engineering. - 2 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing or designing electrical distribution equipment. Please note that this position is based in Karnataka, Bangalore and is a full-time role with ongoing unposting date.,
