Job Description

Role PurposeThe position is accountable for designing and developing dimensional data models, data marts, and enterprise data models utilising MS SQL. This role contributes to the organisation's data infrastructure by ensuring effective data storage, retrieval, and processing across various analytical datasets through multiple tools

  • 10 years

Relevant Experience

  • 7 years of experience into a similar role
  • Experience of SQL and Databases (MS SQL Server, DB2, Postgres, Mongo).
  • Experience with dimensional modelling and Kimball methodology.
  • Strong proficiency with BI tools such as SSRS, Microsoft Power BI, etc.
  • Expertise in SQL, ETL development, data pipelines, and data integration.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/KRAS/KPIS: PROCESS

  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient dimensional data models and data marts.
  • Architect enterprise data models to support analytical and business intelligence needs.
  • Implement and maintain ETL processes for seamless data integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and ensure high-quality data solutions.
  • Optimize query performance, ensuring high availability and responsiveness of the data warehouse platform.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and consistency across all systems and solutions.
  • Generate and produce descriptive and diagnostic analytics for the business.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Continuously improve data warehouse architecture to support evolving business
needs and emerging technologies.

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Delivery of service level agreements made with internal and external stakeholders and clients.
