Sr AWS Cloud Engineer (Infra)

As a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer at Hitachi Digital, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the AWS infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include day-to-day administration of cloud environments, ensuring security, compliance, cost optimization, and operational monitoring. Your hands-on expertise and proactive approach will be key to maintaining and enhancing our cloud systems. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage and maintain AWS environments, handle account setup, IAM policies, and security controls. - Implement cloud governance, cost management, and compliance best practices. - Monitor workloads for availability, performance, and budget alignment, addressing inefficiencies promptly. - Collaborate with teams to provision resources, troubleshoot cloud-related issues, and support application teams with infrastructure needs. - Automate repetitive tasks using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and scripting. - Stay updated with AWS offerings, suggesting improvements or new services as needed. **Required Qualifications:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 5+ years of hands-on experience managing AWS infrastructure in production environments. - Proficiency in core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch. - Strong understanding of networking, security best practices, and access management within AWS. - Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and scripting (Python, Bash, or similar). - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, CodePipeline) to support deployment processes. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative approach to partnering with teams. **Nice to have (not required):** - AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security Specialty). - Experience with cost optimization tools or FinOps practices.
