Sr AWS Cloud Engineer (Infra)

Role Overview: As a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer (Infra) at Hitachi Digital, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the AWS infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include day-to-day administration of cloud environments, ensuring security and permissions, optimizing costs, monitoring operations, and aligning platforms with industry best practices. Your proactive approach and technical expertise will be key in maintaining and enhancing our cloud systems. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain AWS environments, including account setup, IAM policies, and security controls. - Implement and enforce cloud governance, cost management, and compliance best practices. - Monitor workloads for availability, performance, and budget alignment, identifying and resolving inefficiencies. - Collaborate with teams to provision resources and troubleshoot cloud-related issues. - Support application teams with infrastructure needs, deployments, and scaling strategies. - Automate repetitive tasks using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and scripting. - Stay updated on AWS offerings, proposing improvements or new services where applicable. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 5+ years of hands-on experience managing AWS infrastructure in production environments. - Strong skills with core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc. - Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and access management within AWS. - Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and scripting (Python, Bash, or similar). - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, CodePipeline) for supporting deployment processes. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication skills for effective team collaboration.
