Job Description

As a part of Northern Trust, a globally recognized financial institution with over 130 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and reconciling accounting records. Your responsibilities will include preparing financial statements to ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards. You will also have the opportunity to provide input towards process improvements for greater operational efficiency. Your role will involve providing daily support and guidance to Analysts, with the Senior Analyst assisting the Team Leader in workflow distribution and optimizing staff resources. You will be expected to identify, document, and communicate new procedures and controls to enhance operational effectiveness. Additionally, you may engage directly with committees and senior management, serving as a key subject matter expert and mentor to junior employees. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and reconcile accounting records - Prepare financial statements in accordance with professional and regulatory requirements - Provide input for process enhancements to improve operational efficiency - Support Analysts on a daily basis and assist in workflow distribution - Identify, document, and communicate new procedures and controls - Conduct complex activities with significant financial impact - Serve as a mentor to junior employees - Manage daily operational activities and supervise junior employees - Demonstrate technical expertise in your area Qualifications Required: - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Functional knowledge of the industry - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work effectively in a team with minimal supervision - Accuracy and attention to detail are essential If you have a College or University degree along with relevant work experience, you are a perfect fit for this role.
