Job Description

The role of a Senior Agent at FedEx Logistics is to support Operations and lead closely on a joint express/forwarding cargo movement initiative. This initiative involves facilitating communication between operation teams of express and forwarding. It is important to note that this is a forwarding role and not an express role. The ideal candidate should have experience in both warehouse and operation back-office environments. As the role progresses, additional air operations responsibilities will be included beyond the joint express/forwarding initiative. One of the key responsibilities of this role is the rotation of duties between the forwarding office and CFS. In the CFS, duties include supervising cargo unloading, conducting dimension measurements and scanning, verifying load plans against received freight, and making necessary load plan adjustments. On the other hand, forwarding office duties involve ensuring timely receipt of shipment details such as pieces count, G.W., C.W., and dimensions to facilitate any necessary load plan adjustments promptly. The Senior Agent is also responsible for ensuring that operation milestones are met from shipment acceptance at CFS to actual departure. Additionally, assisting the Operations Lead in compiling KPI measurements and reports is part of the role. Overnight duties may be required as well.
