Job Description: Honeywell is seeking a highly experienced Senior advanced software engineer (Software Design Lead) to join our LSS business unit. The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions, with a strong background in both Microsoft and open-source technologies. Key Responsibilities: Solution Design and Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of high-quality cloud solutions, leveraging full stack experience on Microsoft and open-source technologies. Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Scrum Masters, and development teams to drive the development of innovative solutions. Automation and AI Integration: Utilize automation tools and co-opt AI technologies, such as GitHub Copilot, to enhance productivity and efficiency. Innovation and POCs: Actively engage in innovation and work on Proof of Concepts (POCs) to explore new technologies and methodologies. Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Qualifications: Experience: 12+ years of hands-on experience in software design and implementation, with a focus on cloud solutions. Technical Skills: Proficiency in full stack development using Microsoft and open-source technologies. Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills, with experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Automation and AI: Experience with automation tools and AI technologies, such as GitHub Copilot. Innovation: Demonstrated ability to innovate and work on POCs. Education: Bachelor s degree in computer science or a related field is desirable. Preferred Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
