Sr. Accountant - GL Accounting

Key Responsibilities

• Handle GL accounting processes and journal entries
  
• Perform reconciliations bank accounts, intercompany, and balance sheet items
  
• Manage fixed assets and depreciation accounting
  
• Process accruals and prepaid expenses
  
• Adhere to the month-close calendar and support closing activities
  
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and schedules
  
• Analyze and review Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and P&L reports
  
• Provide audit support and documentation
  
• Ensure timely resolution of open items and queries
  
• Participate in daily/weekly status calls and team discussions
  
• Contribute to SOP documentation and continuous process improvement
  
• Take part in soft skills training and knowledge sharing sessions

Technical Skills & Competencies – Must-Have

• Strong understanding of GL Accounting
  
• Proficiency in journal entries and reconciliations
  
• Experience in fixed assets accounting
  
• Familiarity with month-end close activities
  
• Good command over Trial Balance, Balance Sheet & P&L analysis
  
• High proficiency in MS Excel & MS Office
  
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
• 
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Yardi or any ERP accounting systems (Nice to have)
  
• Prior experience in an international BPO/back-office environment
• 
  

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or related field
  
• Additional certifications in accounting or ERP tools are an advantage

• Work from Office – Chennai location
  
• Candidates from other cities with strong credentials may be considered if they can work from a CNX office in their home city
