About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced PL/SQL Developer to join our dynamic team in Chennai or Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining complex database applications and services that align with our business needs. You will work closely with business partners to understand requirements, design efficient data models, and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Oracle database development, a strong problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. This role may also involve leading technical projects, conducting research, and providing innovative solutions to complex database challenges.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
- Proficiency in database design and data modeling.
- Basic understanding of Oracle database architecture and object-oriented programming concepts within Oracle.
- Experience with database management tools such as TOAD, SQL Developer, or PL/SQL Developer.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with advanced proficiency in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Prior experience supporting business operations through database applications is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support Oracle-based database applications, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Participate in coding, testing, and deploying PL/SQL procedures, functions, and scripts.
- Support daily business operations by maintaining and troubleshooting database systems.
- Run systems manually for exception handling, including testing files and re-runs.
- Conduct database tuning, scripting, and data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Lead or assist in technical projects, providing expertise and guidance to team members.
- Research new technologies and perform proof of concepts to recommend innovative solutions and improve existing systems.
- Maintain documentation related to database architecture, procedures, and standards.
