Job Description

The role of SQL DBA requires a candidate with 7-10 years of experience in SQL Server, with advanced knowledge in Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs), schema design, index strategies, performance tuning, and data modeling. As a Senior Database Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing complex SQL Server databases. This includes creating schema designs, implementing index strategies, tuning performance, and modeling data effectively. The ideal candidate should possess a strong command of T-SQL, query optimization, and transaction management. You will be expected to author, review, and maintain complex stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views for critical applications. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with backend development teams to ensure seamless integration between application and database logic. Your responsibilities will also include implementing database best practices for security, integrity, backup/recovery, and high availability. You should have a proven track record in database schema design, normalization/denormalization, indexing, and enforcing data integrity. Moreover, you must be adept at troubleshooting and optimizing slow-performing queries and processes in high-volume and transactional environments. The successful candidate will have practical experience in integrating with backend applications using Java or .NET (C#, ASP.NET). Exposure to ETL processes and data migration, preferably using SSIS or equivalent tools, is desirable. Proficiency in source control (Git, TFS) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices is essential. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills are also key requirements for this role.
