SQL Database Developer

As a Software Engineer / Sr. Software Engineer, you will be responsible for working with the development team to develop, implement, and manage database models for core product development. Your key responsibilities will include writing SQL database views, tables, and stored procedures to support engineering product development. You will also be tasked with designing and maintaining SSIS, T-SQL, and SQL jobs, as well as developing and maintaining complex stored procedures for loading data into staging tables from OLTP and other intermediary systems. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in the analysis, design specifications, development, implementation, and maintenance of the database, including designing partitioning of the database for Archive data. Furthermore, you will be responsible for ensuring that best practices and standards established for the use of tools like SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Excel Power Pivot/View/Map are incorporated into Data Analytics solutions design. It will also be part of your duties to document complex processes, business requirements, and specifications. To be successful in this role, you should have experience in database design, normalization, query design, and performance tuning. Proficiency in writing complex Transact SQL code, MS SQL Server query tuning, and writing stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers is essential. Experience in Indexes, column store index, SQL server column storage, Query execution plan, providing authentication and authorizations for the Database, and developing best practices for database design and development activities is also required. Experience in database migration activities and possessing strong analytical, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills are desirable traits for this position.
