SQL Database Administrator

As a SQL Database Administrator at Capgemini, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient functioning of SQL Server databases. Your responsibilities will include: - Monitoring and maintaining SQL Server databases (2012 and above). - Performing routine database backups, restores, and recovery procedures. - Troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues using tools like SQL Profiler, Extended Events, and DMVs. - Implementing and maintaining database security by managing roles, permissions, and encryption. - Assisting in database deployments, patching, and upgrades. - Designing and implementing high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions such as AlwaysOn, Log Shipping, Replication, and Clustering. To excel in this role, you will need the following qualifications: - 4 - 12 years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator. - Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2012-2019/2022). - Proficiency in T-SQL, indexing strategies, and query optimization. - Understanding of database backup strategies and recovery models. - Familiarity with monitoring tools like Redgate, SolarWinds, and SentryOne.
