SQL Database Admin L2

Install and configure SQL Server instances (on-premises and cloud).
Set up and manage SQL Server Agent jobs, linked servers, and replication.Configure and maintain database clustering and failover mechanisms.Monitor database health using tools like SQL Profiler, Extended Events, and DMVs.Analyze slow-running queries and optimize indexes, statistics, and execution plans.Implement caching strategies and query optimization techniques.Design and implement backup strategies (full, differential, transaction log).Test and validate disaster recovery procedures.Manage Always On Availability Groups and log shipping.Implement role-based access control and encryption.Monitor and audit database access and changes.Ensure compliance with relevant data regulations auditsSchedule and manage regular maintenance tasks (index rebuild, DBCC checks).Automate routine tasks using PowerShell or SQL scripts.Maintain and update database documentation and runbooks.Provide L2 support for database-related incidents and service requests.Collaborate with developers to resolve application-related database issues.Escalate complex issues to L3 or vendor support when necessary

Strong understanding in Windows Server operating systems (2016/2019/2022),
Hands on experience on various database versions and its featuresPerformance tuning, security, automation, backup/recoveryInstallation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshootingKnowledge of backup solutions, disaster recovery planning, and ITIL processesStrong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to handle escalations efficiently.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
